“Love profligately.”—Julio

“I am not going to stop loving. Period.”—Shakespeare’s aunt

A surfer and a sailor meet on Kaua’i and zoom! The heat is on. By means of metafiction and a humorous commentator, the story explores the concepts of aloha, ohana, and pono.

Diary cover, 2026

When a brother says their mother is “taxed” and wants to see her, Shé heads across country to attempt a reconciliation, having just discovered her inner surfista at age 54. She leaves the beloved Pacific, towing a ten-foot teardrop travel trailer, searching for surf spots and swimming holes along the way. She reaches New Orleans on Mardi Gras, but the estranged relative is not interested in a reunion, or even dialogue.

Rousted, feasted, encouraged, and exhausted by strangers, rangers, and other nomads, Shé perseveres with grit and determination, and sometimes swagger.

This collection features 42 short and flash fictions interspersed with colorful abstract expressionist paintings.

"Sea Change" cover by Shé, 2026

A quirky, non-formulaic P.I. novel set in 1980s Hollywood. Bisexual Suzy Le Speed is a dreamy actor who nets a day job as an assistant to private investigator Bob Smith. Featuring Bianca Kitty, sexy girlfriend Brett, and a vacation dad, the dialogue is whip-smart and witty, with heart-breaking scenes and themes of domestic violence, sexual abuse, homelessness, and redemption. Poignant and poetic. Steamy with a strong female lead.

Poetry reminiscent of Mary Oliver, Naomi Shihab Nye, Billy Collins, and e.e. cummings; interspersed with colorful abstract expressionist paintings. Elemental themes of love, betrayal, hope, sorrow, and joy. Includes more than 100 poems and 70 artworks, spanning 45 years.
