Yes-ness

A feeling of Yes-ness means you are on the right Path. It doesn’t mean there will be no obstacles.

Several times this week I found myself in a river of tiny fish. Millions of inch-long swimmers surrounded me, flicks of iridescent beige, rose, cobalt, gold, and silver in the emerald Sea. Sometimes I could not see anything but fish, flashing and swooping around me.

None touched me, no matter how I turned or where I looked. When I stuck my head above water, they leaped in the air again and again.

I even saw them when it was rough and murky: a stream of newborns gliding by regardless of weather, predators, extreme tides, currents, or motor boats. They seemed to deal with their obstacles without tantrums or bluster or despair.

Inspiring.

Sometimes I am in the river of Yes-ness, and sometimes I am not. But instead of expecting an easy life (becoming miserable when it is not), I can practice dealing with obstacles as gracefully as my ocean friends.

See me: beige, rose, cobalt, gold, and silver in the emerald Sea.
